RCA Student Culinology® Competition People’s Choice Pitch
The four finalist teams for the RCA Student Culinology Competition have presented their concepts to the judge panel. Now they face you, their QSR customer, to pitch their limited time offering menu item. The item was created using inspiration from the San Diego area and is to be featured during a spring/summer launch. Join us to watch video presentations from the teams and vote for your favorite. A $500 prize is up for grabs for the people’s choice winner! During this session the judges will also share their feedback and award the medal and cash prizes.

Evolution of Food Waste Product Development Student Presentations
To meet the demands of the evolving food industry, the RCA has created the Evolution of Food Waste Product Development Student Competition in 2016. Established by the RCA Student Committee, the Evolution of Food Waste Competition challenges student teams to formulate commercialized products, increase nutritional content through value-added processing, and troubleshoot cost reduction strategies repurposing byproduct ingredients historically considered food waste.
On Monday, June 1 during RCA Powered Up, the final portion of the Evolution of Food Waste Product Development Student Competition will be held. The three team finalists listed below will present their product to a panel of judges and the winning team will be announced during the Closing Session of RCA Powered Up.
